22/02/2024

The BlueMissionAA and MPA Europe projects, under the auspices of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030,” are delighted to announce the inaugural MPA Awards for Europe.

This prestigious recognition is designed to honour Marine Protected Areas (MPA) that have made significant contributions towards the ambitious goals of restoring our ocean and waters within this decade.

Scheduled for the 2nd Annual Forum of the Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters on March 5th, 2024, in Brussels, the MPA Awards aim to spotlight MPA that exemplify effective stakeholder engagement in their establishment or management. This focus underscores the critical role of collaborative efforts in marine conservation and the enhancement of marine biodiversity and ecosystems.
