As the interest in the MPA Europe project continues to grow, a recent radio feature brought the project to the forefront of news in the Nordland region of northern Norway. On 28 June, The MPA Europe Project was featured on the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s regional live news programme “Good Morning Nordland”.

The invited speakers on the episode were Mette Sørensen, dean of the Faculty of Bioscience and Aquaculture, and Sunni Heikes-Knapton, MPA Europe Project Coordination Manager. The regional radio program is hosted by Marius Guttormsen, who focused his questions on the project’s research areas, expected outcomes, and association with the UN’s agreement to designate 30% of the world’s oceans as protected areas by 2030.
